Description
Current PBS ship meets childhood PBS ship.
Wow, so like, I haven't done a crossover... in forever it seems like. Actually, every single WordGirl picture idea I have right now is a crossover. But I don't really feel like drawing those right now, which is kind of a bummer. But in any case, this one is about half a year overdue, since I got the idea somewhere around last June when I rediscovered this showand watched only the episodes that were shipping these two, ahahaha! Plus I started the lineart in October or something. I don’t even remember, but it was definitely over a month ago. I really liked the idea of this one, though, even though I haven't been particularly motivated... and I wanted to add so many other characters in it, but then, as per usual, I got lazy. I totally think Becky would fit as Inez though, and I could possibly argue Tobey into the crossover somewhere. Plus the Henchmen would be easy enough... and Bob, if I drew monkeys (which I don't). But I always try to cram way too many characters into crossovers, so that's not unusual.
You know, I wasn’t going to do digital outlines, but my pencil wasn’t erasing as well as it normally does, and the lineart got so gross that I just did it this way so I wouldn't have to spend hours trying to clean everything up. Even at that, I spent hours and hours making miniscule tweaks. I almost went crazy, but I think I finally got the picture looking acceptable. I manged to fixed several mistakes, but I still have to overlook several more which cannot be efficiently corrected, it seems.
It’s kinda odd though. I feel like my art is managing to get better and worse at the same time. Plus my style is being... inconsistent. I don't know why I've been having so much trouble lately...
I didn't want to post this one because I feel really kinda awkward about it for some reason. It's hard to place why exactly... but I figured that if I didn't post it now, chances are that I'd forget until it was so old that it would look out of style compared to newer art... like those last crossovers that I didn't post for awhile.
WordGirl belongs to Soup2Nuts.
P.S. - Usually I change crossover hair, like I did with LRW, but I just couldn't do that to Two Brains in this situation... If you know the crossover, then you probably know why.
P.P.S. - I forgot to mention that I took inspiration from the episode "Hugs And Witches" where this pretty much happened but a little differently. Like, there was a dress on the hanger, but I didn't like how I looked, so I drew the suit they were wearing in the end instead... and a couple other changes.
